Sigma 800mm f/5.6 Lens for Nikon SLR Cameras

Sigma 800mm f/5.6 EX DG HSM APO Ultra Telephoto Lens for Nikon SLR Cameras.

The Sigma 800mm f5.6 EX HSM APO ultratelephoto lens incorporates two extraordinary low dispersion (ELD) glass elements, which help reduce chromatic aberration to the minimum limit. With a fast f5.6 aperture, this apochromatic lens also incorporates an internal focusing system to give you fast, responsive autofocus speed. The ultraquiet hypersonic motor (HSM) lets you shoot pictures without disturbing your subjects.

Polarizing filters are extremely easy to use with this lens because of its rotary filter holder, located in the rear part of the lens barrel. The optic materials are lead-free and arsenic-free ecological glass. This model is dedicated to Nikon AF SLR cameras.

User’s reviews Sigma 800mm f/5.6

“The optical properties of the lens worth the burden with you. It is clear the entire range, has excellent contrast and good neutral color. With a constant f/5.6 aperture throughout the focal range and excellent performance wide open there is little to notice. Distortion is almost immeasurable with figures less than half a percent on both ends of the zoom. Chromatic aberrations are not non-existent until the refraction begins to apply to smaller openings and even then they are well under control”

This lens focuses closer than the Nikon 800mm, but it would work much better for wildlife near you, if the emphasis was rather 4 m I used the Kenko autofocus extension tube together successfully, but is often an autofocus hunting ‘which occurs rarely when the extension tube is not connected. I wish Sigma would be to improve the focal length or include a narrow tube, dedicated robust extension of about 40 mm.
